Founded by Christopher Hill
Christopher Hill is weatherhill’s founder and lead scientist. He directs the research agenda and the development of FogLab, bringing together his interests in field physics, atmospheric water and useful scientific tools. He also founded MaxwellX, Death X and Insider Labs. Meet the founder and explore the related ventures.
The ambition
Find useful ways to influence water and visibility at a defined site, beginning with the mechanisms we can isolate and the quantities we can measure. Electrostatics is one family of physical tools; its usefulness depends on what it does under the conditions that matter.
The first product
FogLab is the proposed viable initial product: an instrumented platform and experimental method for comparing powered and passive fog collection. It is at the protocol-design stage. No facility has been selected and no weatherhill experiment has been run.
A place scientists can use now
The site combines a DOI-linked research index, scoped source notes and functioning browser tools. The paper library is built for discovery, the notebook for reasoning, and the workbench for inspecting calculations and local data.
How we advance
Define the outcome. Qualify the measurement. Make the comparator explicit. Fix the decision rule. Keep uncertainty and systematic bias visible. Report what happened at the scale at which it was observed.
Weatherhill’s first edition is dated 11 October 2026. Source-linked corrections are part of the research record, and the full protocol is available for inspection.
